Eternity on my mind (Escape Hell)
Why do you think human want is limitless,
“a never ending process” ?
Nothing on earth fully satisfies us because we were actually created for eternity.
Ecclesiastes 3:9-11. He has made everything beautiful in its time, also has he set eternity in the hearts of men.
it’s easy to get absorbed in what is happening in the world right now. We get caught up in the most pressing issues of the day.
It is wise for a man not to allow the things he cannot take over to prevent him from Condemnation.
Heb 9:27, Paul acknowledges that for him to die is gain and to live is for Christ.
As a Christian you have to look forward to heaven like you’re going back home. Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many and apart from coming for judgement He is also coming to save his people.
Tips on how to be eternity conscious
1. Plan as though you’re going to live here forever: Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.
A mission may never reach completion and the efficiency margin for any vision small without planning.
Don’t think that you are heavenly bound once give your life to christ.
In our pursuit of personal satisfaction when ought to be heavenly conscious and earthly useful.
2. Prepare to meet God Today: No person goes into an important meeting late and without preparation.
prepare and live and as though you’re dying today. Amos 4:12, if you’re not careful you might loose out on this because there’s a lot to do on earth so be conscious of your preparation. It’s a scary thing to appear before God unprepared.
3. Put to death the things that are capable of taking you to hell: Ecc 12:13 Solomon reminded us that the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep his commandments.
The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” .
Do not be afraid to stand out. Fearfulness, unbelieving, fornicatorion, covetousness, e.t.c are attitude that are capable of taking one to hell.
Stomp your feet, guard your heart and put to death all things that are not of christ.
4. Pursue holiness: John14:16 the devil can repackage the things you put off in another way, so pursue holiness to be able to detect same things in different form. Pursue holiness and don’t wait for it. While you plan, prepare to meet God. Heb12: 1-17. Let us lay aside every weight that beset us and purse holiness.
God loves us and has provided a way of escape from destruction without compromising His righteousness and justice.
