A Taste Of Heaven
Every description the Bible gives us makes it clear that heaven is filled with wonders and treasures far greater than anything we know on Earth. Even the most skilled artist or most brilliant composer is unable to portray its glories.
This brief statement gives us a glimpse of what awaits us. May we benefit greatly from what God has revealed to us in His word concerning heaven, and may we long for it as it will be the eternal home for the believer in Christ.
Heaven is not a myth, Heaven is Real. A place prepared for those who identify with Jesus, and follow his commandments.
Jesus did make a direct reference about Heaven when He comforted the disciples with these words: John 14 1. “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God ; trust also in me. For In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.”
Heaven should not make you scared but rather excited.
What you should know.
1. Heaven is a real place. (Home)
2Corinthians 12:2
Jesus promised us that he will come back to take us home. No doubt we’ll be stunned by heaven’s beauty, but most of all we will be overwhelmed by being in God’s presence.
2. We are going to stay there for eternity.
The eternal life that God promises to those who repent of their sins and receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ is vastly different from the mortal life that we now experience. We will no longer have corruptible bodies of flesh that grow old and wear out, but powerful spiritual bodies that will last forever
3. Christians will be glorified in heaven.
2Corinthians 4:17
It is God’s intention that we experience his glory here on earth as it is in heaven.
A taste of heaven does not require you to be in heaven before you experience it.
Jesus prayed and said “father let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.
4. Its a place of rest.
Rev 14:13
that we may rest from our Labors ; and our works do follow us.”
Jesus has stamped our passport with his blood; We are legal citizens of heaven.
We have the legal rights to enjoy full benefits of our home country. “Even though we are in this world, we are not of this world.”
5. Heaven is a place of peace. Rev 4:21
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain. for the old order of things has passed away.”
When Jesus said “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. He meant it, so claim it.
6. There will be abundance. 1 Timothy 4:8
Heaven Is synonymous to everything Good in abundance. The devil did not die therefore his will cannot be established.
You are too precious to God. Isaiah 49:15
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. Your sons hasten back, and those who laid you waste depart from you.
You have a divine seal of heaven have you activated it?
